This Slide Board is used for sliding patients from a bed to a trolley, to bridge a small gap of about 15cm between the bed/trolley. This plastic board has six cut out hand slots. The hand slots can be used to hold the Slide Board still, while sliding the patient across from a bed to a trolley.
To Use: Simply use the draw sheet to roll the patient on to their side with their back facing towards the trolley. While on their side, place the Slide Board under the draw sheet and the patient, with the grooves facing downwards and the smooth side on top. The board should be under the patient’s head down to under the thighs. When the patient is returned to their back, they should have at least 3/4 of their length lying on top of the board.
